In April 2003 Herb Lippmann and his wife Yu Hua Liu died in a bus accident in Tibet. The bushwalking club Herb helped found, the Up and Downers, raised money to set up a lasting and useful memorial for them. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife helped organise the production and installation of five interpretative signs at trackheads and viewpoints in the Blue Mountains, where Herb and Yu Hua Liu loved to walk. See the full story in a previous issue of PAWS.

The signs have now been installed at Victoria Falls Lookout, Point Pilcher, Perry's Lookdown, Mt Solitary Trackhead and Lockley Pylon Trackhead. They include track details, orientation maps and information about the area.
