At “Tales from the wilds” a Foundation fundraiser at Parliament House, the Hon Bob Carr, Premier of New South Wales, announced that a $1 million bequest had been left to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife by the late Catherine Clare White.

Catherine Clare White or “Kitty” as her friends knew her was a passionate bushwalker and camper, frequenting her local national parks especially Morton National Park. Her passion translated into a legacy to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife when she left 50% of her estate in her will to secure new land for national parks.
