The inagural Blue Mountains Lithgow and Oberon Tourism Festival of Walking, from 8th-15th October 2011, donated funds raised from 'Mystery Walks' to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife.

The Festival of Walking is a celebration of the beauty of nature, the health andwell being benefits of walking, acknowledgement of Aboriginal custodianship andculture and homage to the history, heritage and conservation of this special region.
There's a diverse programme of paid experiences with professional guides and free self-guided events during the eight day festival including walks in gear from yesteryear, photographic exhibitions, walks to mystery locations and there will be guided and self guided activities for everyone from challenging wilderness treks to gentle street strolls.

Walking for a Good Cause
During the Festival of Walking funds raised from Mystery Walks will be donated to the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife. Monies raised in the Brew Mountains Beer Fest walk are being donated to the Rural Fire Service.
