In 2007, the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife received a donation of 204 hectares of open woodland adjacent to Abercrombie River National Park. This habitat is home to the threatened Brown Treecreeper and the Rufous Whistler.

It is also contains areas of Werong Creek, which has healthy populations of platypus. This river flows through the property before reaching the Abercrombie River.

This 204 hectare land addition to Abercrombie River National Park is valued at $190,000.

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is the only organisation in Australia whose philanthropy is an investment in our public estate, for all to enjoy.
