Foundation
The Foundation added 30 of the 46 hectares which make up Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve.
It is a crucial refuge to many waterbirds and platypus. Over 90 species of bird live in this tranquil wetland, about a third of which are waterfowl.
The reserve also contains important stands of Paddys River Box and snow gum and a range of other native species.
The area is a fantastic educational resource for the study of aquatic plants.
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is the only organisation in Australia whose philanthropy is an investment in our public estate, for all to enjoy.
