Sturt National Park is 335 km north of Broken Hill and 400 km west of Bourke.
Sturt National Park showcases the amazing and unique beauty of the Australian Outback. You'll see vast open gibber plains broken by flat topped mesas, and red sand dunes covered with saltbush and shrubs.
Sturt is also home to a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.

Foundation Projects
Growing Sturt National Park
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife acquired 187,899 hectares (Mount King Station) as the core of Sturt National Park, more than half of the total park area.
Mount Wood Pastoral Museum
The Foundation funded a pastoral museum at Mt Wood Homestead to display relics of the 1880-1910 era. Mt Wood Homestead also provides visitor accommodation.
Tibooburra Courthouse
Tibooburra court house was built in 1887 to a design by colonial architect James Barnet. The Foundation contributed funds that enabled the acquisition of the Tibooburra Courthouse.
