Barrenjoey Head is about an hour out of Sydney and offers stunning views of Palm Beach. The headland is at the junction of the Hawkesbury River and the ocean.

The aquatic reserve includes the entire rocky platform around the headland, from the northern end of Station Beach to the northern end of Palm Beach, and extends 100 m seaward from mean low water.

The Barrenjoey Head area is surrounded by the Ku-ring-gai Chase national park, and offers wonderful scenery and peace.
