Foundation Projects in the Upper North Coast Region
Growing Bongil Bongil National Park
In 2010, the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife received a donation to add to the National Reserve System. The property will become part of the Bongil Bongil National Park in the Upper North Coast region of NSW.
Yuraygir Four Day Coastal Walk
On the 22nd October 2010, the Yuraygir Coastal Walk between Angourie and Red Rock was officially opened. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife helped fund the Yuraygir Coastal Walk and interpretive signage along the track to enrich visitor’s experiences.
Growing Yuraygir National Park
The Foundation purchased 3305 hectares of high conservation land for Yuraygir National Park, costing $110,000.
Growing Washpool National Park
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife acquired 1,191 ha of wilderness land near Tenterfield for Washpool National Park, enabling dedication of around 150 hectares of identified wilderness.
