On 9th November 2011, retired Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife CEO Leonie Gale and Board Director Angus M. Robinson presented a 'Theme Stream' Workshop at the Global Asia Pacific Eco Tourism Conference in Sydney.

Ms Gale and Mr Robinson addressed the topic, 'Tourism: a strategic partnership for protected areas'. The presentation used the Yuraygir Coastal Walk project as a case study of ecotourism operators and protected area conservation working in harmony for mutual benefit.
