In Australia, we're lucky to share our daily lives with some of the world's most beautiful native animals and plants.

Wildlife and plant conservation projects funded by the Foundation - click to read more.

Alongside funding habitat conservation and species protection work through donations, there is a lot you can do to help native plants and animals in your local area.

Backyard Buddies - Scroll down to the Bmail Archive at the bottom of the page to read previous editions of Bmail & find out about all sorts of amazing Australian animals and plants, and what you can do to take care of them in your backyard.

Birds in Backyards -  This is a research, education and conservation program focusing on the birds that live where people live. It gives detailed information about Australian native bird species and their lifecycles. It can also help you discover the name of a bird you've seen but wasn't sure what it was. It also gives information on how to create bird-friendly spaces in your garden.

Flora for Fauna - Find out what kind of native shrubs, bushes and trees you can plant in your garden to attract and protect native species.

Click through the Plants & Wildlife menu on the left to see what species programs the Foundation has supported, and to learn about Australian native plants and animals.
