FNPW Supporters Tour Middle Head Forts

Blog Post - FNPW Supporters Middle Head Tour

A lucky group of FNPW supporters were recently given a tour of Sydney Harbour National Park at Middle Head by Rangers from the NSW Parks & Wildlife Service. The Middle Head forts complex covers 150 years of NSW military history and contains one of the oldest surviving colonial fortifications, featuring observation points, search lights, gun emplacements and other defensive structures.

Before the tour, FNPW CEO Ian Darbyshire provided an update on the charity's current conservation priorities and initiatives. Fortuitously, there was a break in Sydney's unseasonal October weather and the group were able to enjoy the magnificent natural setting and harbour views.

Tours of the Middle Head Forts Complex can be booked through the NSW National Parks & Wildlife website, here.
